The Conference Of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) Columbus chapter will award up to 6 scholarships for the 2017-2018 academic year to deserving students who express an interest in pursuing college studies in a transportation related field. The scholarship award may be used for tuition, books, and/or room and board expenses. Applications must be postmarked by Friday, June 1, 2018. Winners will be notified by June 25,2018.

National Pan-Hellenic Council of Columbus
The National Pan-Hellenic Council of Columbus (NPHC-Columbus) is a local affiliate of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC). The NPHC is an international organization composed of nine (9) predominantly Black or African-American Greek Letter Sororities and Fraternities: Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc.
The NPHC focuses on community service programming, professional leadership growth and combating socio-economical obstacles for the benefit of its members and the betterment of the African-American communities where they live. These initiatives include providing programmatic thrusts that directly affect the lives of African-Americans in the areas of economic stability, achieving higher-level education, youth development, and community growth. As a result, the NPHC-Columbus is dedicated to enhancing the educational opportunities of underrepresented collegiate bound students through the offering of scholarships. We strongly believe that in order to impact leadership of tomorrow, you must invest into the youth today. In keeping with its mission, The HOPE Scholarship was created to assist students with the high cost of textbooks & study materials.
Two (2) scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $500.00 each
Funds may be used for payment of books, equipment (i.e., computer or instrument), or supplies
Proof of enrollment must be shown before any non-recurring payment is made
Enrolled officially as a senior in the current 2017-2018 academic year, in any school located in Franklin County, Ohio
Registered guardianship address identified as a resident in the Franklin County, Ohio
Received a minimum of a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
Scheduled to attend an accredited college or university in the Fall 2018
