We are excited to announce the following students who have the opportunity to move forward in the Jump Start College Tour 2024 Program. This was a challenging decision-making process, with many agonizing hours invested. With our years of proven experience in providing this program, many factors were considered, including gender and school classification balance, student leadership, and engagement. With our intention to get students excited and prepared for their college and entrepreneurship experiences, the best-case scenario would be for all students to have this phenomenal experience by joining the June trip. However, that was not possible.
Here is how we are moving forward:
- Students on the Jump Start 2024 Student Participant List have 48 hours to acknowledge their interest in moving forward. The deadline to respond is 10:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Please, no exceptions. The link will close at 11 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2024. At that time, students who don't respond will rotate to the Jump Start 2024 Student Waiting List.
- Students on the Jump Start 2024 Student Waiting List will also have 48 hours to acknowledge their interest in waiting for a space to open. The deadline to respond is also 10:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Please, no exceptions. The link will close at 11 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2024. Students who don't respond will be considered no longer interested. Please note that students will rotate from the waiting to participant list first by gender, again, so we can maintain a balance.
The College Navigation and Leadership Workshops are mandatory for all students on either list. Attendance will be equally beneficial and necessary for those on the participant and waiting lists to remain on the participant list and/or move from the waiting list.
Location: First Church of God, 3480 Refugee Road, Bowman-Gaddis Building (east entrance).
Arrive between 9:30 and 9:45. Our session will begin promptly at 10:00. Plan to be present until 12:15 p.m.

April 20 - College Basics 101 and Special Segment: Life Be Lifin'
May 18 - How to Pay for College 101 and Situational Awareness Experience
Parents are welcome but not required to attend.
3. We are planning an additional college tour, details to be announced. It will be open to all students, with preference for students on the waiting list.
4. We have a built-in stipend for students who attended their Teen Socratic Circle, participated in and engaged in all mandatory sessions, and participate and engage as guided during the June 2 - 7 college tour. More details to follow!
